Cirius is managed by a team of experienced leaders from a variety of industry backgrounds. Combining extensive knowledge of both business and information technology, they lead a group of talented employees that create innovative products and services with high added value for customers.
As an entrepreneur with strong global perspective, Mr. Miyazawa founded the company after graduating The University of Tokyo in 2004. His focus at Cirius over the years has included corporate strategy, technology vision, strategic business partnership and recruiting key talent to develop new services in the rapid growing market of mobile communications. Mr. Miyazawa is also well-known as the author of several books including “SNS Business Guide” and “Mobile 2.0” published in Japan.
Mr. Sugiura is the key participant in determining Cirius’ business strategy and vision. Prior to joining Cirius in February 2006, Mr. Sugiura worked for Mitsubishi Corporation, Gemini Consulting, and Transcosmos Inc, where he served as executive director. After that he worked for Ask Jeeves Japan as president. He also served as executive director at Doubleclick Japan. He graduated from The University of Tokyo, and received MBA from Harvard Business School.
Tomi oversees corporate operations and supervises overall product strategy and development with Mr. Sugiura for Cirius’ U.S. subsidiary. Prior to joining Cirius in August 2007, he was responsible for conceptual planning and designing web pages under NTT Docomo’s mobile portal site “iMenu”. He received his bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from the International Christian University in Tokyo. Also, born and raised in an English/Japanese environment, he is bilingual and biliterate in both languages.
